Itinerary

Day 1Arrival Day, Tashkent

Arrival in Tashkent, the passage of the passport, and customs control. Transfer to the hotel and hotel accommodation. After breakfast and little rest, you will start sightseeing in the capital of Uzbekistan – Tashkent. You will visit the famous sights of Tashkent: the ensemble Khast Imam (2007), including the library of Oriental manuscripts, where Quran of caliph Usman is kept, a continuation of the tour to the biggest bazaar of Tashkent – Chorsu. The descent to Tashkent underground where each station attracts attention by its design. Lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch continuation of the tour around the modern part of Tashkent. Visit Amir Temur square and Independence square. After dinner transfer to the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2Tashkent – Oybek – Khujand – Artuch

After breakfast transfer to the border “Oybek”. Meeting with the guide and driver at the border. Transfer to Khujand. Visit the regional museum, Sheyikh Muslikhiddin madrasah, mosque, and bazaar. After lunch drive to the village Artuch. Upon arrival accommodation in the guest house.

Day 3Artuch – Kulikalon lakes

Start of the trekking. The ascent to Kulikalon lakes (2800 m). Encampment. A walk along Kulikalon lakes. Overnight in tents (4-5 hours; 16 km).

Day 4Kulikalon lakes – Alouddin lakes

The ascent and passage of the pass Alouddin (3800 m). The descent to the lake Alouddin (2750 m). Encampment. A walk along Alauddin lakes. Dinner and night in tents (5-6 hours; 16 km).

Day 5Alouddin lakes – the lake Mutnoye

The ascent to the lake Mutnoye (3500 m). Picnic near the lake, after a picnic a walk around the lake. Encampment. Dinner and night in tents (3-4 hours; 8 km).

Day 6the lake Mutnoye – the pass Chimtarga

The ascent to the pass Chimtarga (4500 m).  Picnic on the way. Encampment. Dinner and night in the tents (5-6 hours; 8 km).

Day 7the pass Chimtarga – the lake Great Allo

The ascent and passage of the pass Chimtarga (4740 m), the descent to the gorge Zindon. Picnic. Continuation of the trek to the lake Great Allo (3150 m). Encampment. Dinner and night in tents (6-7 hours; 16 km).

Day 8the lake Great Allo

Free day at the lake Great Allo. It is possible to walk to the lake Upper Allo and back. Dinner and night at tents (2-3 hours; 5 km).

Day 9the lake Great Allo – the lake Small Allo

You will descend to the lake Small Allo (2340 m). You will have a picnic near the lake then you will continue your descent to the river Amshut (1900 m). You will set up the camp and your dinner will be at the tent camp (6-7 hours, 16 km).

Day 10the lake Small Allo – Kayrok Sang

You ascend to the place that is called Kayrok Sang (2200 m) will pass along the river Archamaydon, upstream to the gorge Archamaydan. You will have a picnic on your way. After setting up the camp, you will have dinner. You will pass your night at the tent camp (5 hours, 14 km).

Day 11Kayrok Sang – the river Obi-Safed

After breakfast, you will pass under the pass Munora, upstream Archamadan. On your way, you will visit the lake Pushtikul. You will have a picnic. After this, you will ascend to the river Obi-Safed, under the pass Munora (2750 m). You will set up the camp there, have dinner and night at the tent camp (5-6 hours, 15 km).

Day 12the river Obi-Safed – the river Sarimat

You will ascend to the Munora pass (3500 m.), then descend to the canyon of the Sarimat river (2600 m.). This river flows from south to north, forming a picturesque valley. Picnic on the route. After setting up the camp, you will have dinner and night at tents (6 hours, 16 km).

Day 13The river Sarimat – Marguzor lakes

You will ascend to the Tovasang pass (3307 m.) and then descend to Marguzor lakes. Picnic on the route. Installation of the camp, on the shore near the 7th lake of Hazorchashma (2400 m). Dinner and overnight in tents (6-7 hours, 18 km).

Day 14Marguzor Lakes – Penjikent

You will depart to Penjikent along the sequence of all Marguzor lakes. You will arrive and accommodate at the hotel “Rudaki – 3*”. After lunch, you will have a small excursion around Penjikent. You will visit the Rudaki Museum and the excavations of Ancient Sogd, the Bazaar. Dinner at the restaurant.

Day 15Penjikent – Jartepa – Samarkand

After breakfast, you will depart to the border Jartepa. After passing all border requirements, you will be met by a driver and guide.  Arrival in Samarkand. You will start sightseeing tour in one of the oldest cities in the world, visiting such famous sights as the tomb of Temurids – Gur Emir (1404), Registan Square (1415-1660), which includes three madrassas – Ulugbek (1417), Sher Dor (1636) and Tilla Kori (1660). Then you will walk along the Tashkent street to the famous cathedral mosque built by Amir Temur for his beloved wife – Bibi Khanym (1404). Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 16Samarkand-Tashkent

After breakfast, hotel check-out. Continuation of the tour in Samarkand. Visit the necropolis Shakhi Zinda (14-15 cc.), the medieval observatory of Ulugbek and Samarkand paper factory “Meros”. After lunch drive to Tashkent. Upon arrival, accommodation at the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 17Departure Day, Tashkent

After an early breakfast, transfer to the International Airport and departure.
