Itinerary

Day 1Arrival Day, Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva

You will arrive in the morning and pass the passport and customs control. You will meet your local guide and driver. Transfer to the hotel. In the morning after breakfast and little rest, you will start your acquaintance with the country from its capital – the city of Tashkent. You will visit the ensemble Hazrati Imam (2007), including a library of Oriental manuscripts and the Koran of Caliph Usman, the central square of Amir Timur, Independence Square. After the excursion and dinner, you will be transferred to the airport and you will fly to Urgench. Upon arrival transfer to the city of Khiva. Hotel accommodation.

Day 2Khiva

In the morning after breakfast, you will start the tour around the inner city of Khiva – Ichan Kala (UNESCO World Heritage). You will visit Kunya-Ark Citadel (XIV century), Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah (XVIII century), Kalta-Minar Minaret, Muhammad Rahim Khan II Madrasah (1871-1876), Tash Khauli Palace (XIX century), Alla Kuli Khan Madrasah, the mausoleum of Said Allauddin, the mausoleum of Palvan Mahmud (XVIII-XX centuries), Shergazi Khan madrasah (1718-1726), the minaret and the mosque of Islam-Khoja (1908-1910).

Day 3Khiva – Kunya Urgench – Dashoguz – Ashgabat

After an early breakfast transfer to the Uzbek-Turkmen border. The passage of the Shavat checkpoint. Meeting with a tour guide from Turkmenistan. Transfer to the city of Kunya Urgench. After the transfer to the airport of Dashoguz, you will fly to Ashgabat. Upon arrival, accommodation at the hotel. During the day you will visit the Kirkmoll fortress (XI century), the 60-meter Kutlug-Timur minaret (XIV century), the mausoleum of Il-Arslan (1157 – 1172), the mausoleum of Tyurabek-Khanym (1359 – 1388) and other architectural monuments.

Day 4Ashgabat – Nisa – Ashgabat

After breakfast, transfer to Old Nisa to visit the remains of ancient structures dating back to the beginning of our era: a square house (treasury), a square hall (front room), and a round temple. After excursions around the Nisa fortress, return to Ashgabat.

Day 5Ashgabat – Mary

After breakfast, a panoramic tour of the capital of Turkmenistan. In the evening, transfer to the airport and flight to Mary. Upon arrival, accommodation at the hotel. During the day you will have the opportunity to visit Oguzkhon palace complex, “Halk hakydasy” memorial complex, Ertogrulgazy mosque, “Alem” cultural and entertainment complex with the world’s largest closed-type Ferris wheel and other attractions.

Day 6Mary – Merv – Bukhara

A visit to the ancient city of Merv. After lunch, transfer to the Turkmen-Uzbek border. The crossing of the Farap checkpoint. Meeting with the Uzbek guide. Transfer to the hotel. You will visit Erk-Kala citadel (VI-IV centuries BC), Gyaur Kala with the ruins of Buddhist and Christian monasteries, Shakhriyar-Ark citadel, and the mausoleum of Sultan Sanjar (1157), the mausoleum of Muhammad ibn Zayed (1112), the ancient settlement Abdullah Khan-Kala.

Day 7Bukhara

After breakfast, you will start the excursion in one of the most ancient cities of Central Asia – Bukhara. You will visit the citadel Ark (XVIII – the beginning of XX century), the architectural complex Lyabi-Hauz (includes Kukeldash madrasah, khanaka Divan-Begi, and Divan-Begi madrasah) (XVI-XVII centuries), the architectural complex Poi-Kalyan (mosque Kalyan, Miri-Arab madrasah, Kalyan minaret) (XII-XVI centuries), Chor-Bakr necropolis (XVI-XX centuries). Samanid Mausoleum (9th century), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (1380), Ulugbek Madrasah, and Abdulaziz Madrasah (1417-1652), Magoki-Attari mosque (XII-XIV centuries).

Day 8Bukhara – Shakhrisabz – Samarkand

After breakfast, transfer to the Kashkadarya region. After lunch, a tour around Tamerlane’s hometown – Shakhrisabz (UNESCO World Heritage). After the excursion, you will continue your way to Samarkand. Upon arrival, accommodation at the hotel. You will visit the ruins of Amir Temur Palace – Aksaray (1380-1404), Dorut Tilavat memorial complex, which includes the mausoleum of Sheikh Shamsad-Din Kulyal al-Keshi, Gumbazi-Seyidan mausoleum, Kok-Gumbaz mosque.

Day 9Samarkand

After breakfast, you will start the tour in one of the oldest existing cities in the world – Samarkand. You will visit Registan Square (1415-1660), including Ulugbek Madrasah (1417), Tilla-Kari Madrasah (1660), Sherdor Madrasah (1636); the necropolis Shahi Zinda (XIV-XV centuries), the tomb of the Timurids (1404), the mosque Bibi Khanum (1404), the medieval observatory of Ulugbek (1424-1428) with a museum.

Day 10Samarkand – Tashkent

After breakfast, you will visit the memorial complex of Imam al-Bukhari, built-in 1997-1998 on the ancient Mazar of the famous Islamic religious leader Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari. After lunch transfer to Tashkent. Upon arrival accommodation at the hotel.

Day 11Departure Day, Tashkent

Early transfer to the International airport and departure.
